The Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department provides fire and Emergency Medical Services to over 3,500 residents of the Town of Cheshire in a 27 square mile area. We are an all volunteer force that currently consists of 27 firefighters, 6 firefighter/EMTs, 2 EMT's only, 7 apprentice firefighters as well as 2 junior firefighters. The department runs 3 engines, a rescue, a tanker, and an EMS truck (BLS). All apparatus is housed in our headquarters building located at 29 South Street in Cheshire.
